Last week we took part in a live equipment testing day out in the North Sea. Setting off from Bridlington, East Yorkshire, members of the MRT product team, spent over 8 hours at sea, carrying out live sea trials, demonstrating our current offshore safety equipment, as well as putting our future products through extensive real-world situations to ensure that they meet the everyday needs of our customers and their workforce.
We were accompanied by Jamie Roberston and Dr Mike Roach from Holderness Fishing Industry Group who both hold extensive experience in offshore commercial fishing. As end-users of offshore safety equipment whilst working out at sea, they were able to provide invaluable feedback on how our range of sMRT Personal Locator Beacons work and how they integrate with their current safety equipment. This testing included our future flagship product, the sMRT Shield a 406MHz and AIS Personal Locator Beacon. We were also able to test our range of sMRT PFDs and Immersion Suits.
As a business, we are committed to preventing loss of life at sea and this is the reason why we extensively test all of our product range, multiple times a year, and get feedback directly from those who will be wearing them. This ensures it meets their needs, allowing them to carry out their work without having to worry about their safety equipment. It also allows us to develop new and improved safety solutions based on their requirements and new and improved technologies.
